Oh, It is Wonderful!

This post is a day late but I feel the meaning behind Easter should always be in our hearts everyday. I feel that I could not adequately convey my feelings on the beauty of Easter, so I have two videos of my favorite hymns. The words that are sung in these two beautiful songs, I know are true.

"I Know That My Redeemer Lives"

I am so grateful that Jesus Christ provided the way for me to return to live with God after I leave this Earth. Because of the Atonement, I can repent and be forgiven of my sins. Because of Christ's resurrection, I know that this life is not the end. We will be able to live after we die with our families in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father. What joy this knowledge brings in my life!

Happy Easter.

Amusement

Funny things happen in the Aggen household. They more likely than not happen either late at night or when we are incoherent in the morning. There is just something about being super tired that makes things more humorous than they actually are.

Our newest craze is telling jokes. The format goes along the lines of picking an object, starting off the joke with "(Said object) walks into a bar..." , and consists of making funny (or not so funny that become funny because they are not funny) puns about said object picked. For example, my best joke is "Two chickens walked into a bar. The young chicken starts talking to the old chicken. The older chicken, extremely confused, says 'Hey! I can't hear you! Beak up!'" And of course all of Alex's jokes rock because he was part of an improv group in high school and so he is so punny...

Second, which is where my talent (if you want to call it that?!) for funny comes in, is that Alex picks anything for me to act out. It could be an animal, an object, a situation, you name it. He then proceeds to ask me to act out the same thing, but this time as a dinosaur. He finds it hilarious and will often ask me repeatedly to do this many times throughout the week. It seems that the old "acting as a dinosaur" skills with my freshman roomate have finally served a purpose in life.

This pumpkin impersonating a dinosaur got nothin' on me. Seriously.

We also search for images that are cute and happen to be HILARIOUS. Our latest find was this...

Still. Peeing. My pants.

What a pair we make! At least I know that when we are old and crotchety we will still be able to make each other laugh with bad puns, dinosaur impersonations, and our shared appreciation for all things adorable.

Now THAT is true love.

Life is Good.

You know those moments when you just can't help but think "Life is so Good"?

Like when you get the Nursing envelope that you really wanted for next semester's classes

Or

When you get a full-time job for the summer because you worked up the guts to ask for an interview

Or

When your sweetie wakes you up in the morning with a precious kiss and tells jokes to start your day off with laughing and a smile

Or

When you have a clean house and everything is in its place, and you can't wait to come home

Or

When you recognize that you have truly great family and friends who are fun to be with and are always there for you

Or

When the sun finally decides to shine and out goes the winter weather

Or

When everything seems to fall into place and you find that you are miraculously able to get done everything that you needed to despite your fully packed schedule?

Ya, those moments.
These are the moments that make life good
