Zilker Park Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens were gorgeous! We went early in the morning when it was still pretty cool and there was lots of shade to keep us from getting too warm. It's located in Zilker Park near downtown Austin, but when you're in it it feels really secluded and like a world of its own. There were different areas in the garden, and our favorites were the Japanese Garden, the Pre-Historic dinosaur themed garden, and the Butterfly Garden. I would definitely give this place 5 stars- it has excellent stroller friendly walking paths, was easy to navigate, Addie loved looking at all the different flowers and animals, and it provided lots of wonderful scenery for picture taking. It was a lovely morning outing!
